Innovative Mobile Nurse Call System Selected by Norfolk and Norwich NHS Trust
Wandsworth Healthcare were delighted to partner the Norfolk and Norwich NHS Trust in an innovative installation of IPiN, a fully IP nurse call system complete with mobile integrations.
IPiN Nurse Call Specified by NHS Trusts
Wandsworth was specified to provide their fully IP IPiN nurse call solution for the hospital and the installation project is ongoing.
IPiN is the industry leading nurse call system, designed to harness the opportunities that IP based nurse call provides, from centralised administration and reporting, through to an array of third party integration options providing estates teams and clinical staff with a complete nurse call system designed for today’s healthcare environment.
IPiN represents the latest development in nurse call systems and wireless communications technology, and provides a full IP based system from source to bed level, and conforms entirely to the latest Healthcare Technical Memorandum (HTM), the Government’s guidance documentation for nurse call and bedhead services.
Integrating Mobile Devices into IP Nurse Call Systems
By incorporating Wandsworth’s innovative IPIN Mobile into their IPiN system, Norfolk and Norwich have also invested in the potential for mobile nurse call. This integration of IPiN Mobile allows for nurse, emergency and cardiac calls, as well as admin and reporting to be viewable, in real time on allocated Android mobile phones, without staff needing to be at a fixed nurse station.
The IPiN Mobile nurse call system operates over the Trust’s WiFi network and is currently in use across the hospital’s Cardiology and Cardiac care units where it has been configured to ensure staff working at varying levels only receive the calls that are applicable to them.
IPiN Mobile is also being utilised by the hospital’s chosen maintenance /service and support company, whose engineers are able to receive, view and analyse live fault diagnostic reports on their mobile devices.
